Manon has been immersed in kawaii subcultures for nearly 15 years. Having worked with some of the top brands and publications in Japan, she now runs her own business, Strawberry Skies Design. Her passion for ethical and sustainable fashion and the lack of diversity in ethical fashion brands are the driving forces behind her fashion design work. Her main goal is to improve the relationship people have with their clothing.

Her work focuses on the perspectives as seen by a kawaii black femme, creating prose, fiction, and sharing personal narratives.  She is invested in narratives for Black Femmes, Kawaii lifestyles, and creative writing. Charlie - ARTIST

(They/Them)

Charlie is a queer, fat, disabled artist currently working freelance. They like to experiment with JFashion in their spare time, including Kawaii, Punk and Menhera styles. Charlie graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender studies. They have worked with marginalized communities in mental health crisis post-graduation, but have since moved to more artistic endeavors. Their primary interests include learning more about sustainability, sewing, and ways to continue combating transphobia, racism, ableism, etc.

Shayla is a quirky, Baltimore-based lolita and j-fashion enthusiast. Always ready to uplift her friends and those who dare to branch out of their comfort zones. An artist since birth, & finally started to get the hang of digital art thanks to her iPad pro. A fan of Japanese culture and all things kawaii. Shayla plans to simply take up space and represent her unique styles to others through laughter and admiration. Be happy in the skin you’re in!

Ito is a hobbyist artist with a love of bubble tea and fashion. They see all forms of art as a medium of expression for life's spectrum of experiences. Through their pieces, they seek to explore their own culture, queerness, and mental health. When they're not scribbling on their tablet, they're dabbling with Visual Kei and Dansou styles.

Silver Eve (they/them) is a half-Black, autistic disabled queer of many crafts. Artist, dancer, graphic designer, crafter, and info-dumping master. You may have also seen them as the cosplaying horror drag queen Radium.Eve. Along with their drag husband, they work on providing accessible all-ages drag opportunities in their community. As for J-fashion, they dabble in many styles but always find themselves at home in elegant sweet lolita

Nyx is an AfroLatinx writer, cosplayer, and newbie to Jfashion community. She has been writing for her own blog space and also Geek Community reviews. As well as cosplaying and wearing J-Fashion since about 2014. Nyx’s passion for activism started when she became a panelist for local conventions discussing the topics of Cosplay and Body Positivity, along with Disabilities and accessibility in nerd spaces.

Toast Chan - Content Creator

Toast~chan believes that everyone can be kawaii. She loves decora, ouji, Otome, and lolita. Toast~chan is relatively new to Instagram and Youtube but she has been wearing EGL fashion since 2013. Her degree is in Economics and International business. She loves tea and baking and is a self-described otaku. Keep an eye out for Frill Style, her upcoming community-based kawaii shop.

Rondreka is a Louisiana native that decided the world needs more positive colorful energy. Her goal is to show kawaii attire does not inhibit your ability to be professional or make a difference in the world. She enjoys various styles of alternative fashion; mainly fairy kei and Decora. She believes you shouldn’t have to wait until you reach arbitrary milestones to live a fulfilling life. She specializes in grant accounting and business management.
